Springfield Arms SAR 8

Thinking of getting a SAR 308, any thoughts??

As I recall these are Greek G3/HK91 type rifles, and are of good quality. I'd say go for it if the price is right (the last one I saw for sale around my area was priced at $800).

A G3 type rifle isn't a bad choice right now due to there being a flood of surplus parts and mags on the market. Interordnance has new German made G3 20 round mags (alloy with steel costing a buck or so more) on sale for $4 each in their latest flyer.

I'd be careful to buy a rifle with a stamped steel reciever rather than a cast aluminum reciever. Most of the stuff Springfield Armory sells that they have no hand in making is pretty good quality.
